One-Day Retreat Family

COVID-19 Protocols

While participating in a One-Day Retreat hosted by Lighthouse Family Retreat (LFR), you agree to the following safety guidelines:

  • All Retreat Families will need a signed medical release from their Oncologist within two (2) weeks of attending the retreat.

  • Masks are required at all times for One Day Retreat.

    Your safety and comfort is our top priority. We hope the following details will provide in- sight and help you make the best decisions for yourself and your family about joining our retreat:

    • Lighthouse will sanitize and disinfect common areas in accordance with current CDC and State Health Department recommendations, providing you with a safe and clean retreat experience.

    • We will not be meeting in large groups however, you & your children may be in activi- ties where up to 20 people will gather for some fellowship & fun.

    • Volunteers will be paired with your family to serve your family meals, hang out with your kids during Common Ground (see below) and other programmed activities. Most activities will be held outside weather permitting.

    • After lunch we will have a time called Common Ground. This is when our parents get together to share their journey and support each other. We will ask all of our Retreat Family parents to join in on this time. This will take place in an indoor meeting space and there will be up to 20 people in attendance for a couple of hours.

In light of the contagious nature of COVID-19, individuals who fall within any of the below categories should not engage in an LFR retreat. By attending an LFR retreat, you certify that you, and all members and non-members of your family attending with you listed below, do not fall into any of the following categories:

  • Individuals who currently or within the past 14 days have experienced any symptoms associated with COVID-19, which include fever, cough, loss of taste, loss of smell and shortness of breath among others.

  • Individuals who believe they may have been exposed to a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19 or have been diagnosed with COVID-19 and are not yet cleared as non-contagious by state or local public health authorities or the health care team responsible for their treatment.

  • Individuals who have traveled in the last 14 days internationally or domestically to areas with increased or sustained counts of people infected with COVID-19.

Due to the contagious nature of COVID-19, LFR has put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19. However, LFR cannot guarantee that its participants, vol- unteers, partners, or others in attendance will not become infected with COVID-19. All adult attendees will be asked to sign a waiver releasing Lighthouse of any Liability against Covid-19 and other illnesses.
