LFR Staff Spotlight: Kelly Jones
MAY 10, 2017
Kelly Jones is probably one of the sweetest souls you will meet. She has been a long-time Family Partner and recently joined our team as the Family Partner Coordinator. Get to know her a little bit more:
When did you start working at Lighthouse?
Why did you want to work at Lighthouse?
I have served as a family partner since 2011 and it is my favorite week of the year. I love everything that lighthouse does for these families facing childhood cancer and being able to be a part of their mission is truly a blessing.
What is your favorite part of a retreat?
I love how we all start the week as strangers and we leave as family. Its so awesome to watch all the relationships that form throughout the week. I also really love to watch my kids serve and for my family to all serve together.
What are you most looking forward to at Lighthouse in 2017?
Watching what God does through others and witnessing peoples life change for the better.
What’s your favorite Lighthouse retreat meal?
When is the last time you laughed so hard you cried?
Retreat 4 with my awesome team. We had the best time together. There was so much laughter and many happy tears!
What do you like to do outside of Lighthouse?
I love to spend time with my awesome husband and children. I like to do crossfit and to be active. I love hanging out with my friends and family as often as possible. I love all the Transit and Waumba events and serving at NPCC.
Tell me about your family:
I have been married to my amazing husband since May of 2000. He is an incredible dad, husband and supporter of our family. We met in Colorado and we were married there. We had our daughter, Taylor in 2002. She is a beautiful 8th grader at Autrey Mill. She will be going to Johns Creek High School in the fall. Taylor has been on 8 retreats with me. We moved to Alpharetta in 2004. In 2005, we had my sweet son Gavin. He is in the 6th grade at Autrey Mill. He loves football, basketball and Lax. He has served on 6 retreats with me. We love to travel and spend time together and with friends. I am so blessed God put these 3 in my life.
