APRIL 11, 2017
At the head of the table is Mr. Chris Woodruff, Executive Director of Lighthouse Family Retreat. He is driving the ship and pushing Lighthouse towards serving more families living through childhood cancer. Learn a few fun facts about Chris:
When did you start working at Lighthouse?
Why did you want to work at Lighthouse?
The Families – both Retreat Families and Family Partners. We had made such great friends with both the families we served and those we served alongside – it is amazing what God can do in relationships when you are serving together.
What is your favorite part of a retreat and why?
Common Ground – to see couples come in and start to peel back the layers and share their story and unfold the role that hope in Jesus plays in their journey is incredible.
What are you most looking forward to at Lighthouse in 2017?
I can’t wait for all the NEW on retreats this year. This team has come up with so many great upgrades to how we do retreats and I am so excited to see it all come together. 2017 is going to be incredible!
What is your favorite Lighthouse retreat meal?
Low country boil
Speed Racer (old school!)
When is the last time you laughed so hard you cried?
My kids crack me up on a regular basis. I don’t remember which one or what they said, but about two weeks ago they had me in tears…usually it is some off the cuff witty remark out of nowhere that has me and Jan ROTFL.
What do you like to do outside of Lighthouse?
We love outdoor adventures – that usually consists of camping, hiking and paddle boarding.
Tell me about your family:
I’m married to my much better half, Jan, for 17 years this year and we have three incredible kids – CJ (14), Ty (12) and Rena (9).
