In 1999, Lighthouse was founded with the mission to serve families living through childhood cancer by helping them to laugh, restore family relationships and find hope in God.
On August 8, 2000, Lighthouse held its Inaugural Retreat for six children with cancer, their families and volunteers. Our ministry has impacted thousands of lives in over a decade of service to children with cancer and their families.
What inspires Lighthouse to continue making each week-long experience better and better are the countless smiles, friendships and incredible stories about how God is carrying these families through the hardest of times. Each retreat is staffed with volunteers from all walks of life totally dedicated to serving these families as they courageously continue their journey with cancer.
It is this intentional care that helps the child with cancer and their family have the opportunity to laugh, restore family relationships, and find hope in God.
