Nothing about having cancer is “normal.” It can be even more challenging when a family has a child diagnosed with cancer. Everything gets turned upside down with doctor appointments, treatments, uncertainty, and fear. Lighthouse Family Retreat endeavors to provide some momentary normalcy in the midst of the chaos. Kids just being kids: playing in the sand; laughing in the sun; and enjoy a vacation as if maybe for just a week cancer has all but disappeared.
