"With all of our hearts, we can't thank you enough for this amazing week of love at The Lighthouse. Two years ago when our son was diagnosed with the most unfavorable form of neuroblastoma, we weren't certain we'd even leave the hospital much less dip our toes in the ocean again. Yet, through the chemo, surgeries, stem cell transplants and radiation, we held on to that sunny dream. During sleepless nights, sometimes that was the only dreaming that took place. This week, this sun-kissed blessing of a week, our family realized that dream. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful seascape as the setting. The sand was the whitest we'd ever seen, water spectacularly blue, and air warm and inviting. This week we discovered an uncommon beauty of service through the extraordinary contributions of volunteers and donors to The Lighthouse. We want those who made our week possible to know that your caring (though we may never meet personally) has touched our family in a very personal way. Thank you for making our dream come true."
